Lanlan 3x3 Void Cube puzzle - back in stock
Lanlan 3x3 Void Cube puzzle
The lanlan void cube has a hollow interior mechanism and no centre pieces on the face, hence the name void, as you can see right through the centre of the cube.
This also introduces a situation known as 'Void Cube parity' - A state which a regular 3x3 puzzle cube cannot reach, and therefore this puzzle adds an extra challenge for a solver that can solve the regular 3x3 puzzle cube.

Great puzzle but hard to turn.

This is a great puzzle, having no centre pieces is a challenge for a beginner cuber who wants to become colour neutral. I recommend buying at one for your collection however, because the nature of the cube with no centre pieces it makes the cube really hard to turn. There's no corner cutting at all. If you try and speed this cube you will experience pops. None the less the idea of this cube is great and I do recommend it.
A hole lotta cube

What the Lanlan void cube takes away in centre pieces it gives back in the form of an extra challenge or two over a standard 3x3 and is a fun alternative to dip into now and again. It's certainly no speedster; mine was pretty tough to turn out of the box and the lack of corner cutting sometimes makes it feel like it's fighting against your moves but persevere 'cos it'll loosen up quite nicely soon enough. One minor observation; I ordered the white version and the stickers came in a standard colour scheme, not as in the photos. Definitely recommended for anyone looking to fill a hole in their puzzle collection by adding a few more, plus a thumbs up for the Puzzle Store UK service.

Having previously owned a Rubiks void cube (which sadly broke). I already knew what to expect in terms of difficult with the Lanlan void cube. Solving the parity cas is quite a bit of fun once you know how to do it. Only issue with it is because the mechanism is different from other cubes (due to the fact there is a great big hole in the middle), it can be a little annoying to turn as there is NO corner cutting whatsoever. All in all a great looking cube to add to the collection
